How would you describe your signature style?
Playful, colourful, feminine and bold. I love experimenting with trends and adding a fun twist.
What are your go-to styling “rules” or tips for dressing for spring events?
- Start with colour: Spring is the perfect time to play with soft pastels, fresh whites, and vibrant pops of colour.
- Think about the setting: A garden party, wedding or race day each has its own dress code.
- Mix textures: Pair floaty fabrics like chiffon or linen with glossy patent or metallic shoes to elevate the look. It creates dimension and feels more considered.
- Accessorise with intention: I love tying shoes back to accessories; gold sandals with gold jewellery, or coloured heels with a matching clutch to bring the outfit together.
- Comfort is non-negotiable: You’ll likely be on your feet, so I always recommend shoes you can move in confidently.
What’s one item in your wardrobe (besides shoes) that you can’t live without this season?
A lightweight blazer. It’s the perfect layering piece for spring - easy to throw over a dress for an event, pair it with tailored trousers for a more polished look, or with denim for something more relaxed. I love how it instantly elevates a look while still feeling fresh and versatile.

"Dress for the setting, ensure everything is well fitted, prioritise comfort, and most of all - wear something you love and feel confident in."
How do you approach styling different events like weddings, race day, or a cocktail party?
For weddings, I usually choose something full length and elegant paired with stilettos. For race day, I love a structured midi or mini dress with block heels and a headpiece. For cocktail parties and fashion events, I’ll go bolder - something directional with a high heel.
What spring 2025 trends are you most excited about? How would you wear them?
Polka dots, sheer lace skirts, capri pants, matching sets, crochet, floral embellishments, heeled thongs, kitten heels,’70s style wedges, raffia accessories and animal prints are all on my list. Colour wise, I’m drawn to chocolates, butter yellow, berry tones and red. I’ve already invested in a satin matching set, floral 3D pieces, polka dots in chocolate and cream, and animal print kitten heels.
Which Midas shoe styles stand out to you this season?
The Tatu leather patent heels immediately caught my eye. I love a pointed kitten heel and leopard print accessories. They’d be stunning with a bold block-coloured dress in orange, burgundy or chocolate, or equally chic with wide leg pants or jeans for work to weekend styling.
What inspired your spring style this year?
I always build a capsule wardrobe, leaning into a few key colours and prints. This spring I’ve chosen chocolate, red and white, mixed with stripes and playful polka dots.

How do you build an event-ready outfit from the ground up?
I usually start with the dress, then layer in shoes, a bag, and jewellery. But sometimes, it’s the perfect shoe or bag that inspires the whole look.
Which outfit or shoe from the Midas Spring Events Collection would you personally wear, and why?
The Hooly leather thong in silver with a mesh skirt and blazer. I love a kitten heel, and a metallic sandal is endlessly versatile. It goes with everything and gives you countless outfit options, taking you from day to night with ease.
How do you mix and match colours, textures, or prints for spring event styling?
I love tonal dressing but also enjoy adding pops of colour or print through accessories. Luxurious textures like feathers, silk, satin, raffia and patent leather are my go to. For example: a feather bag with a satin dress, or a raffia bag with a linen set.
How can someone take a classic event outfit and give it a modern spring twist?
The best way to bring new life to a classic dress is via accessories. You can pick seasonal colours and prints and perhaps try adding a statement clutch bag. Think about every detail, from your nail and toenail colour, to your shoes, bag, phone case, jewellery and sunglasses.
Any tips for accessorising outfits to elevate the overall look without overdoing it?
I think it’s all about balance. If the outfit is bold, keep your accessories simple, if it’s minimal then you can add more of a statement with the accessories. Don’t let your accessories compete with the outfit, they are there to complement your look, not outshine it.
What’s one insider tip for feeling confident and polished at an event?
Tailoring. Clothes that fit perfectly make all the difference. Even small adjustments can elevate your outfit and boost your confidence. If you find a good tailor to fit your budget, it can be invaluable for ensuring that your look is always on point.

How do you balance comfort with style, especially in heels?
It’s about knowing the event. If it’s a short event or I know I’ll be partially sitting, I’ll wear a higher heel. For all day events, I prefer kitten or mid heels. Taking off your shoes mid event is never an option!
Favourite local spots to eat, drink, or socialise that pair perfectly with your spring looks?
In Perth I’ll be wearing some of the looks to: Gibneys, Light Years, Indigo Oscar, Si Paradiso, Wines of While and Bar Vino. And whilst I’m travelling south I would be sure to book lunch at Masseria, ilma Beach House, Meelup Farmhouse and Wise Winery.
Any quick styling hacks for last-minute event prep?
When in doubt, try tonal accessories with metallic accents.
What are your go-to brands when sourcing your event looks:
Aje, Rebecca Vallance, Leo and Lin, Eliya The Label, Mister Zimi, Zimmerman, Sheike, Witchery, Atoir; or Omnia for if I need to hire something.
What is your biggest fashion weakness?
Accessories. I can never have enough shoes or bags, and I know that the perfect shoe is yet to be found for every look! I find that accessories don’t tend to date as quickly as trend-based clothing can, therefore giving you years and years worth of wear and plenty of cost per wear.
What’s your best styling advice when it comes to making a purchase?
What will you wear it with, how often can you wear it, and will it give you cost per wear. I will always opt for slow fashion over fast fashion and would much prefer to splurge on an item that I can wear 100 times, than purchase based purely on its affordability.
What accessories are trending this season:
Woven bags and shoes in raffia like the Carly Latte Synthetic Raffia Sandals; heeled thongs - think Hooley or the Mollini Tidbit or Torina; floral embellished shoes or bags such as the Camelia Rose Fabric Sandals; chunky sandals including the Ully Choc Leather Slides; and anything in chocolate!
